Casting360 is a unique job search site that focus primarily on those in the acting or performing arts fields. There is a lot of information about many different casting calls that have been listed by casting and talent directors at a variety of TV shows, movies, events, and other productions that simply need good acting or performing talent. They look to have literally hundreds of actual hiring firms, companies, and agencies signed up, along with a number of successful and working actors and actresses. They have been online since at least 2011 and did receive some very positive press back when they opened.
Creating a Profile:
Not only is creating a profile a great idea, it is actually mandatory at Casting360. They allow members to build a portfolio of photos, acting credits, and whatever else you think might be of value and interest to the typical casting director.
Searching the Site
There are several ways in which a member can search the site. This includes choosing the age range of the actual job; the neat little slider can pick anything from less than 1 to 56+. You may also narrow the search according to the type of category or work you are looking for, such as acting, modeling, reality TV, theater, singing, dancing, promo/events, voice over, or band events. There is also the option to focus your search based on ethnicity and gender.
In order to apply, you need to become a member. There is a small basic charge ($1.98) which will allow you to build and list a portfolio of photos and other interesting items on the site. You also receive a free 14-day trial. Afterward, the membership fee is $34.90 per month, which may be canceled anytime (just be sure to give them a call in that case).
There are some excellent resources available to recruiters and casting professionals. This includes being able to submit calls or jobs for free and also being able to search through the database of available talent. Best of all, you can choose how long your job description stays active on the site (the default is one month, but you can pick your own expiration date). You will specify where your work is located and could even actually run an advanced search of the database that considers not only location but also age, ethnicity, sex, an more. You really should be able to easily find qualified candidates.

There are even several interesting features that you might wish to explore on the Casting 360 site. This includes a section called the Buzz, which is an area where different casting directors are able to post upcoming projects and interact directly with potential actors/actresses and other talented people. It is almost like a forum of social media platform in the sense that anyone can interact. Another cool feature is the ability to call both potential employees and employers. Not everyone will actually list their phone numbers, but a number of people on this site do. The list of entertainment resources is also nice.
If you are looking for help, it is certainly available here. For starters, they offer a full listing of frequently asked questions. This covers information needed by both potential talent as well as hiring/casting directors. Of course, you may also contact the company by phone or email, during normal working hours.
If you are looking for work in the performing arts, this could be a very interesting way to go about finding it. It also seems to be an excellent service (and free) for casting directors or those looking for talent. The value of the site it that it is incredibly highly targeted and only those in these types of creative fields are going to use this site.
